What We Do
Our goal is to serve as a resource to the state of Arkansas and across the country to provide best practices and key learnings for eliminating the use of tobacco and other addictive substances within minority communities. We seek to:
- Expand the Tobacco and Other Substance Studies Program by developing a research center and expanding the knowledge base, course offerings, and technical assistance, especially for minority population prevention and treatment programs.
- Become the premier national and state clearinghouse for conducting research and disseminating information involving minorities and addictions, particularly those related to tobacco use, utilizing the best practices from Arkansasâ anti-tobacco campaign âStamp Out Smokingâ and the Centers for Disease Control standards.
